Raised Emboss

Background Picture

Open the picture below into a new Fireworks document:

  1. Right-click on the picture below and "Copy Image".
  2. In Fireworks, CTRL+N to get a new document that size, and Enter.
  3. Paste using CTRL+V.

Add text

  1. Type out a word/phrase with a thick font. The fill color doesn't matter.
  2. Position it above the sky. 
  3. Copy the word and move it over the grass (you can change the words if you want).

Filters

Select one text box with the black arrow tool, and go to the Properties panel. Click on the '+' to go to Filters>Bevel & Emboss>Raised Emboss...

  • Width=2, Contrast=100%, Softness=0-2
  • Uncheck “Show Object” box.
  • Angle=? (upper left of angle wheel).

With the other text box, repeat above procedure, but change the angle so the text looks sunken into the grass (bottom right).
